Ken Ring

If you live in Sweden you already heard this but if not this is some great swedish hip hop for you non swedes...but mainly this is some updates for all my swedish friends that don't live here anymore... and I MISS U guys; Pennan, Litschko, Jonas, Helen, Gina, Assan, Rodan (ingen inbördes ordning så klart)+ the rest...ska det verkligen behöva vara så här.... (förresten sorry jag fattar inte varför det inte går att kommentera, ska försöka lösa det.) En update på 2000-talet som ni har missat ganska mycket av.



Hur som helst är Ken tillbaka och jag har inte KÖPT albumet ännu men jag ska fan göra det idag för det här är så jävla bra. Det är så himla befriande att bara höra fet, rak hip hop utan krusiduller, han har alltid haft delivery och röst (kommer verkligen fram på "Ta Det Lugnt") sen har väl ibland rimmen fått stå tillbaka för känslan, men vafan gör det egentligen när det finns så mycket av den. Och han har fångat nåt så jävulskt svenskt för mig, det tror jag blir ännu tydligare för t ex Helen borta i Brooklyn...

Ken skulle man kunna skriva en hel bok om, det är mycket med den bild media och delvis han själv skapat som jag ogillar stark, det handlar om återskapandet av onyanscerade idéer om manlighet, gangster, svart etc. Man bör väl vara medveten om alla dessa klichéer MEN visst fan kan man uppskatta det ändå. Det är lustigt att artister så ofta får nån slags ansvar att vara förebilder egentligen, vafan det handlar om musik som till så stor del handlar om känsla. Känsla och förnuft hänger som bekant inte direkt ihop. Behöver man ideologiska och etiska förebilder i sitt liv; det finns liksom författare och filosofer, politiker tänkte jag skriva men det stämmer ju inte så ofta numer...

Jitting Werkshop

Nu är det klart!!!! Haleem "Stringz" Rasul från Detroit kommer hit (för första gången utanför USA nånsin!!!) till vår dansklubb BUCKnGRIND (Debaser Medis) och kommer där att köra med bla mig och Dennis Da Menace.

Jag skrev om denna unika Detroitstil i förra numret av Kingsize(läs här) och man kan säga att den är av högsta intresse för varje B-Boy och housedansare tex, fotarbetet är fantastiskt. Haleem är också B-boy från början (har varit med i RB Beatriders bl a). Musiken går via electro till techno (svängig sådan såklart)och ghettotech...hur fett som helst!!!

FatYo have been producing fat stuff since a couple of years back...I think. I'm not really sure because of the fact they always had their sites filled strictly with japanese characters... High Snobiety got the translator connections and is telling us about thoose wonderful skin caps...OOOUUUFFF!

BUSTED

It was a fun one, Feddy was amazing with his expressions, Paul got that physicial stamina (Cosby tried to do what Paul is doing and nearly hurted himself BADly) and Miguel came with the ruff undercover cop look.

Stylingwise I wanted to work with the kind of preppy late 80 ies style of original blue jeans, and for example clean red and green. I mean Paul looks like the cute guy in your class when you were about 8 hehehe. Crooks & Colors holiday collection werked perfect for this. Feddys Cutler and Gross glasses, Spike Lee style is FRESHHHH!

The ultra chique hats move the thoughts to the feminin but powerful late 80 ies style, Iman, Coco Mitchell etc...BUT they made of GARBAGE LIDS this time!!!!
This collection is a natural development to purer colors and less kitschy patterns/symbols, but still with the typical Jeremy Scott twist.
