BET Awards 07

Mo’Nique looks like Botticellis Venus!
Mo’Nique from Queens Of Comedy was hosting year’s BET Awards on Tuesday, June 26th, now for the third time. The show honors black achievement in film, acting and sports. The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Diana Ross and actor Don Cheadle got the Humanitarian Award.

Diana and daughter Tracee Ellis Ross (Girlfriends)

All american heads of course already seen this but maybe not all europeans and swedes so here is my personal favourite pics: (too see more google Associated Press or Reuters BET Awards 07 pics taken from those sites. Also check the BET site for video clips from the red carpet and the Beyonce performance etc)

Nice Suit!

The Ross Kids

Great fitting jacket on Mr Houston, good idea with converses but he should have picked maybe pants in a lighter colour

This actress is from the martin show dont remember her name but great hair cut and 20 ies dress (eaven if it could have fitted her body better)

Don't know who this is but guy sticks to his pink, check the small mobile wallet in the belt!

B knows what to show off... But I'm not sure about the hair, they should have broken the lines

Terrence Howards look-a-like Eva Pigford had a wonderful dress, but should have worn other hair and make up to it

I don't hate it but i don't like it either

An Officer and a Gentleman. HYPE!!!!

Baby faced T I, imageing him 75 yrs old-he's gonna be the sweetest old man around if he's not getting fat or anything.

Sweet Alicia but she should get back working with stylist Patti Wilson (The first Alicia album)...or me.

Hmmm I have higher hopes on Miss Badu, bring something fresh!
...this magican-afro-spaceican is better but still isn't it...

Keshia lookin fresh in all white and the blue leather jacket on P is Ok. I like Keshia Cole, it's some Mary-realness over her (whitout being a clone), she got that little extra special tone in her voice.

What?!

whaaaaat...and where do I get mine?!

Jazze Pha! Love the tie!

Good looking Common...but he needs to let that beard go, authority is not depending in your facial hair

Lovely dress on Patti Labelle, older women need to dress up like this and just go and own that shit!

The King of BET?! Flava doing his own thang as always

ghetto but I like that with her she s still Keshia on that red carpet

Viveca A Fox, always thought she s kind of scary. New haircut needed.

Uh hu... please...this is embarresing...Chris Brown trying to look nerdy-fly and totally miss the point

Sweet

Look like something from H&M...Zzzzz

But this from the show is nice on Ciara, an updated Mary J - Real Love. Btw; where was Mary?!

But this leather fetish thing I don't know...

Bootsy and Fiddan (to bad to be shooted next to Bootsy when U trying to have that casual look)

The one and only Cosby Show

The Cosby show is currently running daily on TV 400... brings a lot of memories back. I remeber wanting to have a name lika Vanessa or Denise and I kept on trying to get my whole family to join the music videos I was "directing" at that time...

The Cosby Show was unprecedented in its portrayal of a, then in television, nonstereotypical African-American family and became on of the 80'ies defining cultural sitcoms, aired 1984-1992.

Wikipeda is writing "The sitcom featured an upper-middle class African-American family without resorting to the kinds of stereotypes previously seen among African-Americans in prime-time television. While some argued that The Cosby Show ignored the issues of racial inequity still prevalent in society, many agreed that it showcased positive role models."

There's some fly outfits innit! Love the short hair cuts on Lisa Bonet and "Vanessa" and check out "Claires" Make Up!!!

Oldie Goldie; Crooks and Castles for Cali

My homeboy Dennis (Swedens best b-boy in my opinion, Dennis got that diiirt style)
in a kicker 90 ies pose... This is what the best looking dude in school use to look like back in the early 90 ies in Sweden, they were long haired, dangourus and could mos def do a perfect round kick.

I wanted a ruff finish, nearly no retush like the mags use to look like in the late eighties (on thin paper) with a bit of a gloomy tone in the skin. Model Helena is really beutiful and sweet in real life but we wanted to use another caracter of hers....:

The Scene

Found thoose incredible pics on The Scenes website

In the new no of Kingsize Magazine(ute må 19/6) I wrote an article (åsså modet så klart) about the Detroit Dance Style Jitting. I did a long trip from Jazz via Funk, Kraftwerk, Detroit Techno to Ghetto Tech etc, and as I hope ya ll know it's aaaall connected; rythm based music-rythm based dance....

This is a taste from The Scene, a local TV show in Detroit centered around the urban dance scene(first episode 1976), taped at Americas first black owned Chanel, Chanel 62.

The clip focuses on the Show, for moore info on The Jit it self check my article.

Shoes to Keep

I've had my eye on KEEPs clean models since some time back. They make shoes for women without flowers, pink and baby blue and present themselves like: We do Keep for all the women who have their game tight, who work hard to make things happen, who spread positivity and energy around them, who take care of their loved ones and most importantly take care of themselves. We make Keep shoes for those women who are tired of clown shoes, too many bells and whistles, and the misappropriation of the color pink.

Extra + All Keep products are cruelty free and produced in audited, certified factories.

In NYC they have them at Urban Outfitters so hopefully they will turn up here
