Since I'm a guest on this blog, a bit of self promotion is not suppose to be a bad thing. So I'll let you in on some of my copy-shop work. Nowadays you can get a kind of wallpaper glue that you apply directly to the wall with a roller, so this A4 wallpaper in not as time consuming as you may think. Of course any scribble will become a pattern if you copy and mirror your image. I'v discovered that its nice on a colored paper, or a couple of different colored papers as a checkered. Feel free to copy this idea. no problem. /Pennan
This morning my good friend Decida asked me to spell out what's nice my life these days. Well, yesterday my boyfriend came back from a month long stay in Melbourne, and that’s nice of course! But maybe not that interesting to you. Although some of you will definitely be interested in what he created during his stay. Keez is not only my boyfriend, but also the inventor in a collaboration of artists called PIPSlab. He has been working in a motion capture studio where he invented a "stamping technique". With that he can create three-dimensional photographic sculptures. This rough clip shows himself becoming some sort of transformer monster! Future plans indicate that the monster will be moving around as well! I can’t wait!!!!!!
Adam Tenstas "Dope Boy" got a new sound and a new video, feel it more than the original one.
What Annah Björks answer is to all rappers in this video, we all know. (The reason why I havn't gotten in to that Subjest is that i feel she is so beyond any common sense that i just can laugh, on the top of that she's critizising gangster rap 20 years AFTER Delores Tucker did it, it's just funny but truly sad that a Swedish paper can print something like that 2008)
papa dee got the wrong question on his though.....huh?!
The Street Wear brands have their tentacles deep down in the Nu-Rap scene, 10 Deep have been presenting mixtapes by Wale and Kid Cudi, MilkCrate did the collabo with Cool Kids and Rock Smith joined forces with Mickey Factz (Supra too "I Like Your Supra")for the last collection, and now the collabo is evolving with the Rock Smith s GFC shirt that can be spotted on the cover of Mickeys newest leaks;

Btw: Tonight at BERNs it's time to see how fresh Henok s new video "Fresh Fly" is!
Me and Shamoun have been chatting about this song lately and I thought I share it with you, 90 esthetics on a high level, the way video is shot, yes all complete with a darker lipliner on Lady Stansfields lips! This style is sneaking up on us soon....I tell you.
And listen to her lovely hard core english accent, Noel Gallagher said she comes from a background that would make his family look posh.... it's not where you from it's where your at!(had to drop that cliché... w t f all clichés is true anyway, that's way we call em clichés)
But non of that is my main point with this post. This song is so beutiful, so elegant, so airy, and so liberated from all hipness people looking for today in this minute. + She looks a bit like my mom...(especially in the american version).
We all made our choices; on where to live, what to do, who to be with it.
S asked me about what I thought about the new music comin out of the Retro Kidz crew since I wrote about their movment at an early stage... You know what, Im not sure at all about The Retro Kidz doin music.... Do I feel the smell of commercialism here, who is advising them to take make this certain move? It's like because the kidz have a new nice concept - the only way to get it out to the masses is via music?! It's how Hip Hop always been commercialized. Why not keep it like a party concept, maybe do design, things that are connected to the very core of what they did in the beginning. It can grow too! Is STYLE enough to make music? Branding wise they are out on a thin line... At least not this song is good enough, easy sample +rap leave much to wish for. This is exactly how music got watered down in the 80ies (JJ FAD etc , but yo check the Cardigans in the videos!!! I neeed).
Of course we wanna have fun, but it doesn't mean it can't be razorsharp!
I rather go home listening to some fine ol New Jack Swing. You can't just go back you have bring the NEW to the OLD to make it happen. Still got love for you Retro Kidz though, but stick to your grapes...or eaven better prove me Im wrong
B T W Can someone book me for a New Jack SWing DJ Gig hahahah?!!!! Lady got that shit! DANCE INCLUDED!!!!!
(via zimbio) is on! Lookin like a Mad Max theme to me, feeling the outfits but hair n make need a retouch... From what I read it became a little bit dirtier:
Didn't Mads do this in the 90 ies huh?!! Funny how S E X can be so provocative in that country... Is the redhead girls Janets answer to Gwens Harajuku girls?!
Henry Holland has been watching Beverly Hills 90210 while doing the SS09 collection, so it's flower patterns mixed with geometric forms and an Agynes looking like that love interest of Brandon; Emily Valentine! Love this outfit and the contrast between the geometric top and transparent trousers, earlie 90 ies/late 80ies in a new way! Razorsharp mix, impressing! Michel Kors was also moving towards same vibe as the lycra with geometric pattern here, but in an other way, Holland makes it happen for real! A fun dancehall twist on the jeans! Get a pair and; Do It Yourself! Everything isn't as tight as above but with this collection, Henry Holland is proving he is here to stay and will continue to push things further. I ve been rollicking about Basso Brooke since they came out, 2008 they still keeping their inner core intact but keep developing, some of the garments is totally fucking amazing like this one
They keep taking the patterned fabric into a far more complex path compered to all the last years all over prints (yes Street Wear heads, the worlds are more connected than some of you think) Check it all aout at Style.com (som pieces feels a lil bit like padding though, but Im still impressed)
Take notice: the baguette in the corner, hidden symbolism! Go listen to my absolute favourite cartoon, minigrisen FATIMA, she got new songs up! (kommer du ihåg när jag hetsade dig att maila om MsFatty hahaha)
