I did a really quick styling job in september 08 for swedish youngsta rappers Mofeta & Jerre, they had a song called "Fonky Fly" and who else could they go to...?! Dudes had some wishes about the look and I tried to avoid the obvious cliches, so there was beads instead of rope chains and clear colors instead of pastels or neon. Big thanks to Theo and Dennis for doing heavy back pieces on short notice! Funniest part was doing Jerres alter ego Warriors Style, feathers, leather, all bare chested!!!

Walter Van Beirendonck A/W 09

So is it time for Mr Van Beirendonckand his wonderworld of quirky caracters. I wasn't sure if you could use the symbols of mouth/eyes/nose again after last years Jeremy/Casette Playa/ Alife /Mischka etc) in a creative way, but Walter shows us you can.

Trying to finnish a deadline and don't miss to much of the Swedish Fashion week, did a quickie at SFW opening Rodebjer, it was ok, nothing super special but a couple of wearable club kid dresses, then some more autumn-prepared stuff. What I liked most was the riding helmets!

WTF KANYE!!!!

You go and do BEAUTIFUL kicks with Louis Vuitton, then you do a female version AND CHOOSE THE FUCKING COLOR of CERISE ??!!!!

Hernandez Cornet Fall 09... 9

The leading caracter herself with model and muse(?) Torulf

Intelligent and beutiful is swedish fashion designer Ana Hernandez who had an exhibition this friday at Urban Outfitters art space-place. Ana does what we swedes do better than you, Im sorry but if I do brag about the swedes it's this one thing I can go one about cause y'all can't touch us... - and even tough Im certainly not is typically swedish in my work I have to say it; we know about that fit, we can make it just perfect, not too little not too much and yes we got a special word for it "lagom" - not really possible to translate but it's about being moderate. That's why you all keep burning money at H&M and IKEA and is screaming for Acne and Cheap Monday and soon Monki too. But yes it tend to be a bit boring sometimes, people stay one the right side of the tracks, no dips but no genius highs either...

But back to Hernandez Cornet!
Anas clothes got that fit, great materials + color range and then the use of classic feminine and masculine fashion details (pearls, flounces etc) but with an the-other-way-around flipping twist. And then the most important thing; a concept, a vision that is capturing the Zeitgeist; it's about femininity vs masculinity "the switching between a primarlily masculine or feminine image and calculating of sexual identity for personal style and advantage". Exactly like the muses of this collection used to do: the one and only Veruschka and amazon singer Annie Lennox. More photos of the clothing will follow! If I would govern Acne I would try to pick up Ana sooner then later...

Zelam, Nette (who actually designes a brand called LAGOM, now U know what it's all about!) and Frida checkin out the leather!

Henrik Vibskov Fall 09

I thought I d get some sleep but now finally some Henrik Vibskov photos from his fall 09 is up on A Shaded View on Fashion (BY SHOJI FUJII) so moi better get to work again:

Vibskov stick to his game, it's still patterns, but less crazy ones and the color scheme is, as expected, a little bit more saturated. And as many others, he goes back to classic items in men's fashion but do it with a twist. My favourite is no doubt the striped loose suit, but I ve not 100% sure about the proportions between jacket and trousers, could have seen the jacket going a little bit more towards Zoot suits. Notice nice suspenders too.

Isn't the fly part in front a bit nasty... Bernhard Willhelm Style...

Traousers that will work for the Street Wear Peeps, variasion of patch work , but nothing new under the sun

Those are nice, but If I saw a guy in those Im not sure where my eyes would walk

YohjiYamamoto Fall 09, Ouf!

So far one of the best of fall 09;Yohji Yamamoto Fall 09. Look at the varity of models, ordinary people, it brings so much more to the concept! I would eaven say it's a distinct step towards Street Wear aesthetics.
-It's wearable like Street Wear.
-Its with classic masculine things as suits and (that army touch again) but with a loose fits.
-It's a nonchalant (but of course extremly well planned)a discrete amusingly mixing with i e the pyjamas.
-It's UK early 90ies (with a hint of the late 20ies)and a careless but sophisticated attitude...sounds cheesy in words but just look at the expression of this model: (looks a bit like Ouko in Paris...)
-It's on fuckin point!

That Kicks Collabo

The best part of the collection was this "bride" above, he's a lovely a Basqiat for fall 09 - great model, togheter with the in sneaked kids n female modells!
Not a 100 % Men s Collection by our beloves JPG this time, cause I wasn't really feeling the Beatniks kinda mode - BUT as always with great details! Good to see some smiling models too!
