77NY-the Coolest Year In Hell

Went to the movies yesterday, the Emmy nominated "77NY-the Coolest Year In Hell" gives us a more holostic perspective of the yea 1977 in, for sure - at that time, rotten apple, New York City. 1977 a city fallen into decay, with too few jobs, money, police, schools, and social services. Chris Stein from Blondie, Frankie Knuckles, Jellybean (yes her ex), Bambaataa, Richard Hell, Tommy Ramone, Henry Chalfant and Gloria Gaynor among other people showed us different views from the Hiphop/Punk/Disco/Graffiti scenes, this togheter with stories on sexual liberation and short stories from police officers that experianced the city wide Blackout with major looting as a result and on top of that: "the Summer of Sam", serial killer Son of Sam laying waste all over NYC. I recomend!

Speaking of 1977 and icons - +the woman I just saw last week further down; Grace!:
